Hindmarsh Park is a central park in Kiama with a playground, shade, BBQ facilities and accessible paths. Dogs are welcome on-leash on the perimeter footpaths only, under the local rule that keeps dogs out of park interiors. It is a handy spot for a quick break, with plenty of grass nearby for the kids. A simple on-leash stop in town.
Dogs must be kept on-leash and are only permitted on perimeter footpaths of public parks within the Kiama Municipal Council area. Dogs are not permitted in park interiors. Dogs are not permitted on beaches unless within a designated off-leash beach area, in Minnamurra River water areas, or in Crooked River. Dogs are not permitted within 10 metres of children's playgrounds or food preparation/consumption areas, or on active sports fields during organised sport. Dog faeces must be immediately removed and properly disposed of. Source: Kiama Municipal Council – Dog off-leash areas (kiama.nsw.gov.au/Services/Animals/Dog-off-leash-areas)
A small but decent playground. Great for a quick break to tire out the kids when in the area. Plenty of grass area nearby too for picnics or shaded relaxation. A pleasant walk down to the ocean front too and your dog is allowed on leash within the park.
This is m incredible spot to take your family. The playground is incredible spacious, plenty of room for the kids, to play, the benches and BBQ spots are in good view of the playground so you can be chilling at the benches watching the kids play, no issues. Its also right accords the street from a wide range of food spots, so if you aren't down to BBQ you can easily grab food and refreshments couple meters away. Its a real sweet spot
Nice park almost at the edge of water,it tailors for families with children or visitors just like us. After lunch we came to rest here while our little one plays with others or by himself. It has shaded areas good for stay off sun or rain. It has enough stuffs for kids to let out their energy. Public toilet is not nearby. Beautiful park!
New park with something for every age ~ Younger kids: sand pit with diggers, small concrete slide, trampoline, swings, water-play, wood logs for climbing, rope climbs close to the ground. Older kids: challenging concrete climbing area, large tower and slide. Note: flat bed see-saw useable for wheel-chairs. BBQ facilities and undercover tables & chairs that would be suitable for a party in the park. Negative: toilets are a 4min walk away.
This is a nice park for the day, great that there are shops right across the road for food and a nice grass area for a picnic or playing with a ball.
