Mecca Coffee - Alexandria

Excellent coffee roaster. Consistently great beans with smooth, well-balanced flavours. You can really taste the quality and care in their roasting. My mum enjoyed the matcha yoghurt bowl. Highly recommended.

It was my first visit to this place. The coffee was good, and the barista smiled every time we made eye contact, which gave me a really pleasant feeling about the service. But the female staff member working in the café hall was very unfriendly. She had no expression, never glanced at our table, and I had to go get tissues myself. Even the way she placed the water cups on the table felt unfriendly. She walked past the empty dishes several times without clearing them, even though the hall wasn’t busy. After I posted on Instagram about the unfriendly service, someone commented that this place is actually known for being rude. The overall atmosphere was nice, but cafés like this exist everywhere in Sydney, so I don’t think there’s any real reason to go out of my way to visit again. With just one smiling staff member, the whole mood of the café could be so much better. The food wasn’t bad, but what I had was just average. Cafés like this can be found in every neighborhood, so I felt there was nothing particularly special about it. A bit disappointing, to be honest. Both of the male staff members were very friendly.

Stopped by Mecca Café in Alexandria ☕️ the place was quite busy but service was impressively quick ⚡️. The staff were super friendly and welcoming 😊. The chilli scrambled eggs were fantastic 🔥🍳 full of flavour and perfectly cooked! However, the avocado toast 🥑 was a bit bland and could use a little more seasoning or creativity. Overall, not a bad experience at all 👍. I’ll definitely visit again, looks like they’re updating their menu soon, and I’m looking forward to trying what’s next! 🍽️✨

Mecca coffee is my favourite coffee in the area and always perfect. Brunch options are extensive with display pastries. Nice and relax place to sit down on the weekend. Update: still the best coffee in the area and tried the other version of chilli scrambled egg.

I love all the food and coffee. The atmosphere was cozy. We had the scrambled eggs and wow! that chili sauce was to die for. Overall it was a great experience. If you love coffee and exploring cafes, you should give this one a go, you wont regret it.
