We came here for Sunday brunch. We had bacon and eggs & corn fritters. There was a mix up with putting the order through to kitchen but they were very apologetic and offered us extra coffees and brought out juice. Lovely service. Also a nice place to sit opposite the park in the shade.
My partner and I had a relaxed Sunday brunch at That Place Next Door Cafe in Alexandria and really enjoyed the easy, open feel of the place. The wide doors let in plenty of fresh air, keeping it cool and comfortable even on a warm day, and we appreciated the decent-sized tables that didn’t make us feel cramped. Our large cappuccinos were lightly roasty with pleasant fruity and nutty notes, while my scrambled eggs and my partner’s Eggs Benedict with bacon and smoked salmon were both tasty and generous. The service was friendly and relaxed, the noise level stayed manageable even with a big family table nearby, and the park across the road made for nice people-and dog-watching. With the 10% Sunday surcharge it wasn’t the cheapest, but overall it felt like good value for a casual weekend meal. We’ll definitely be back! Much love, Helaina AU 💕
Ordered the chicken burger, waffle and a long black to try. The chicken burger tasted quite nice where the sauce gave a kick of spiciness but the chicken was slightly overcooked on some part for mine one. Chips tasted fresh and crispy. Waffle was slightly too sweet for my palette. Not sure if it was the syrup that caused the sweetness or the actual waffle was too sweet. But overall the chicken and bacon was cooked quite well. Long black was brewed nicely as well. Nice environment to have a casual Sunday lunch with friends and families.
Great food and coffee too. They need more people though, cause you can see their amazing employees a bit stressed and running around trying to fulfill the demand. Their employees deserve a 5 star review, but not sure about whoever is managing this place.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
