Alexandria Park has a genuine community feel — locals consistently mention the friendly regulars and the social atmosphere. The off-leash areas are everything outside the oval, courts, and playgrounds, giving dogs a good amount of space to roam under the trees. The park is well-maintained with mature shade trees and a mix of open and quieter sections. It's one of those parks where people settle in for a while rather than just doing a quick loop.
Areas outside the oval, courts and playgrounds are off-leash areas at all times. Dogs prohibited from: Oval, courts and playgrounds. Listed in the City of Sydney dog off-leash areas program.
The best park I’ve ever been part of. There is great community here. Council looks after it well, the people are friendly, it’s a super duper dog friendly park. 10/10 recommend!
Alexandria Park is a social reserve that attracts a range of different users with of all the features and facilities it provides. The park is largely dog off-leash, and has a range of sports facilities available, including tennis courts, basketball and netball courts. There's a free BBQ and picnic facilities some that provide shade The 2 playground complements the many uses of the park and gives younger children a spot to play.
Dog heaven. Lots of friendly paws and wet noses!
Having travelled from the UK to Australia to play cricket, to have Alexandria Park cancel our fixture the day before it was due to take place was gutting. I went to Alexandria park immediately to check and it was absolutely playable. There was no rain forecast and the following day was perfectly sunny, within half an hour of sunrise the pitch would have been perfect. What's the point of having a cricket pitch if you wont let people use it when its perfectly sunny.
The Grounds at Alexandria Sydney. The most beautiful place for coffee. There is a big crowd either locals or tourists wandering around for the beautiful decoration or they come for the famous coffee. The flowers are real and natural . The atmosphere is fantastic. I love this place.
