A rather unassuming cafe on the main strip of botany road, kind of one of those blink and you miss it cafes. In addition to the usual cafe fare they have beef pho and their signature wanton noodles. The wanton noodles did not disappoint, with the plump wantons full of flavour pairing well with the noodles. They have some nice drinks as well. Staff were very friendly as well. Worth a return.
Lunch for 3 | $48 Homemade simple comfort food, lovely service and atmosphere We ordered the most popular menu items as recommended: aunty’s wonton soup, beef pho and steak sandwich. Wonton soup was yummy, but not Hong Kong authentic level, mostly because noodles weren’t ‘al denté’ like they should be. Soup is more southeastern Asian style than special wonton soup. Wonton filling was really nice - prawn meat was fresh. Beef pho was pretty good. Authentic good stock, but wish there were more toppings for the price. Steak sandwich used scotch fillet, was fine too, but very cheap sliced toast. Portion was on the small side. Overall a pleasant lunch, but there’s room for improvement. (Next time I would choose the dry noodles with wonton etc.)
Wonton taste really good! Both soup and dry noodle are delicious!! Friendly staff and very spacious place.
I’ve visited a few times now and the quality has been consistent. I’m a fan of the dry noodles and wontons here. Space is clean with plenty of seating. Auntie is welcoming and kind!
Run by husband and wife pair, Joeline and Minh - they’re such a lovely team who sit in quiet times hand wrapping wontons fresh for their soup. A staple of the local community - I have been fed and loved by them every day I’m in the office. Much appreciated. Allen of TZUKURI.
