We enjoyed our Sunday morning here, many japanesy dish on the menu, bit different to the usual cafe. The chashu bene was flavourful, would have preferred regular bread instead of the rice bread. Brownie and tiramisu were delicious. Dish portions were smaller than expected given the price, though service was friendly and has good indoor/outdoor seating.
The Ottoman poached eggs was excellent the this made my day better with tasty and delicious coffee!
Very disappointed with my first visit. I decided to try this local cafe on a Saturday, but the experience was very disappointing. The shop seemed understaffed, leading to extremely slow service. After waiting at the table for 15 minutes with no service, I went to the counter to order. However, the female staff member refused to take my order there and told me to wait at my table. It took another 15 minutes before she finally came over, and we waited over 30 more minutes for the food to serve . The Katsu Sandwich was unfortunately, the worst I’ve ever had. It was completely unbalanced the mustard was far too sour, while the sauce and slaw were incredibly salty. I couldn't even finish it. To make matters worse, the pork was tough and had a bad smell. I really wonder if the chef tasted this dish before putting it on the menu. The Wagyu Rice Bowl was the only decent part of the meal, though the portion was very small. Definitely not worth the wait or the money.
Service is polite and genuinely warm, just like their sister Cafe Kentaro. Food was spot on flavour, but a little oily for our preference. Surely worth a visit and be back to try their Katsu Sandwiches
Even if your not a fan of fusion food, you can’t help but be impressed with the food here that has been devised with a Japanese influence present! I love the amazing presentation, flavours and sheer detail! You can tell that a lot of thought has been spent on this impressive menu!
