Berry Showground Camping Area is a park in Berry. We don't yet have enough signals to confirm whether dogs are allowed.
Shoalhaven City Council's Dog Off-Leash Guide states: "Dogs in the Shoalhaven are required to be 'on leash'" unless in a designated off-leash area or dog-prohibited area. This venue is not named in Shoalhaven's off-leash list or prohibited list under D23/519887 (MIN23.740, December 2023), so the council-wide default on-leash rule applies. Dogs must be under the effective control of a competent person at all times under the NSW Companion Animals Act 1998. (Source: Shoalhaven City Council, MIN23.740 / D23/519887.)
Clean toilets. Kitchen could use some work. Freezer works fridge does not. Friendly staff.
I was looking very forward to going to the Berry show at the end of January! Unfortunately, they are closed for camping during the show ! I tried many places where I may have been able to simply park my self contained vehicle! All I needed was a toilet/shower close by! There is nowhere I could have stopped! My only option was to drive out of Berry for about 20/30 K’s in either direction to find anywhere to park which defeats the purpose of being near the show. Travelling five hours before I could get to this place and then having to go 20 minutes in either direction every day is absolutely not acceptable.! looks to me that unless you have plenty of money to spend; the normal battler just can’t visit this place! The bucket list of seeing Guy mcLean working his amazing horses just can’t happen 💔 the little tent is not necessary! I only needed a car space ! Also; there is no local visitors info; they handle all inquiries from Shoalhaven! - not helpful!
So we spent only 1 night thankfully. We came around 5-6 pm and there was a party. Young kids I would say from 13 years there in a building next to the field.. Loud music, alcohol, cigarettes... we said okay they party now because at 10pm ( it was a normal day neither public holiday so silent hours start at 10pm) they will finish... So we built our tent and around 9:45 we went inside play some cards talk and eventually sleep. It was 11:30pm loud music was still on and the kids were going in the campground...I had to shout at one group that was talking next to our tent drinking and doing worms on the ground... I called the emergency city contact...the lady was everything except helpful and after putting me on hold she said that it's normal and nothing she can do.... I paid 30dolar to have a decent sleep and not to listen to music and drunk young kids... next time inform us that something like this is happening... We ended up close to 1am moving our tent to the opposite site of camping area....plus all the kids had cars there and sleep there as well.... SO DISSAPOINTED
What a great place, only a few minites walk to the main street of Berry, clean amenities with hot and strong showers. Everyone was very friendly
The showground is so central in Berry. The staff are amazing, lovely and really take pride in having a chat and making you feel comfortable and share local history of not only Berry but the south coast. We will be back 100%
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
