Delicious ice cream. Friendly staff. Beautiful location.
Highly recommended: spider of whatever flavour you prefer, the icecream. The savoury food was good too but the dairy is definitely the highlight
$17 for a small apple pie sundae is damn steep! Yes, there was a weekend surcharge which took the price up from $15 to $17, but I would have been more than happy to pay that if the price was reflected in the quantity. Check out the teaspoon for comparison. The first on the ingredients list was stewed apple, but there weren't any in there at all. The waitress took my cash in hand, then used the same hands to put toppings on the sundae which isn't very hygienic in my opinion... The ice cream itself was yummy at least.
We came for a quick sweet treat after making some purchases at the Lolly Factory. I had two scoops of gelato and it was $7.70 and the milkshakes were $15.60 for two. The coconut sorbet was so good. I would go back for that. The texture was great. It was almost stretchy. I loved it. They have malt for the milkshakes too. You can get a few cakes and slices too, if you're looking for food. They have a surcharge of 10% on public holidays but that makes sense when you need to cover extra wage costs.
The Dairy Bar is right next door to the Treat Factory, so after finishing up there a group of six of us decided to see what The Dairy Bar had to offer. The gelato flavour selection is limited but decent enough. The sundaes and Tanker Shakes sound amazing, I wish we could've tried these but they close at 4:30pm on a Saturday and they have takeaway options for these so we could sit elsewhere. In the end, I ordered a vanilla and cinnamon thick shake with added malt and it was okay. It could've done with more cinnamon for my personal tastes. Service was slow and we didn't feel welcome.
