Hard to notice down a little shopping area but had great food. The burger was amazing. Server very friendly. Lots of seating. The fish tacos looked amazing, would try those next time.
One of the worst cafe experiences I’ve had and I genuinely left feeling worse than when I walked in. The food overall was fine. The iced coffees were actually really good and enjoyable. My cappuccino was okay not amazing but nothing terrible. The stack we ordered was quite tasty and the beef was yum. That said the potato rostis were very dry and the prawn pasta was honestly bad. Overcooked stringy thin noodles with a weird flavour. Now onto the lamb sandwich because wow. The menu said 7-hour slow cooked but it tasted more like seven hours slow cooked straight from the barn. The smell alone was enough to put us off. It was so strong and gamey that both my foodie friend and my non-foodie friend gagged and struggled to swallow it. We left a decent amount and told the waitress. She responded by saying they had received similar comments before which already says a lot. The owner later came over and was clearly offended repeating that “this is just the flavour of the lamb” and insisting it was a personal preference issue. She also said there were no problems with this batch. We stayed polite and even said the rest of the meal was great because we weren’t trying to complain about everything just that this sandwich was genuinely hard to eat. She then took the entire dish away but still made us pay for it in full. No replacement no refund no compensation. She was so adamant that there was nothing wrong with the dish despite multiple customers apparently saying the same thing. For a cafe this popular I was shocked at how unwilling they were to take responsibility for a dish that people clearly struggle to eat. Anyone with tastebuds could tell the smell coming off that sandwich was unbearable. Either season your food properly or accept that customers cannot stomach something with such an overpowering stench. One of my friends was visibly gagging. Overall the response made the entire experience uncomfortable and completely put me off ever coming back.
Egg and bacon on a brioche bun was perfection! They also have an assortment of cakes, macarons and pastries on display. Friendly cafe tucked away in a corner off the main road of Berry. Must check it out!
Had a really great brunch last weekend in this cozy cafe👍🏻 The food was really good, the slow-cooked lamb sandwich was the standout, incredibly tender and full of flavor. We finished with the cheesecake, which was beautifully presented and tasted just as good as it looked. Would definitely come back and recommend giving it a try.
Friendly service and great food options on the menu. Our order was taken and filled extremely quickly too. The eclectic styling of the decor added to the charm of the cafe. It was interesting to look at some of the older pictures of Berry and surrounds on display. Prices were reasonable and the food was delicious and of generous proportion. A large range of desserts, cakes, slices etc are also available for purchase.
