Dog rules

Inner West Council's "Dog exercise areas" page states: "By law, dogs must be on a leash in public places unless the area is a designated off-leash area." Inner West Council publishes a list of gazetted off-leash areas; this venue is not on that list, so the council's general on-leash rule applies under the NSW Companion Animals Act 1998. Quiet little park with a nice view of the harbour. It is located right beside Balmain wharf. There isn’t too much parking nearby - just a bit of street parking and the parking for the wharf, but it usually get filled pretty quickly since everyone is going to the wharf! There is basic equipment - swings, a slide, a large multi person swing, those turnstile things, a climbing web and one of those obstacle course like things. It is partially undercover and quite a large space. There is also a lot of grass (and paved areas) nearby just for picnics or sitting. Not the most exciting park but it has everything you need and is large enough and in a good location (other than limited parking!)

The view doesn't get much better and the park is pretty awesome, too. Shade cloth is currently mi#ing but once it's back up it'll be well shaded and the perfect place to bring the kids for a play or a picnic.
