Rozelle Park is a well-designed park in Lilyfield with a big lawn, running and bike lanes and toilets on hand. Dogs are welcome on-leash, as it is not a gazetted off-leash area, and there is plenty of open room for an easy walk. Shade is limited, with only a few young trees, so it is best earlier or later on warm days. A spacious, modern park for an on-leash stroll.
Inner West Council's "Dog exercise areas" page states: "By law, dogs must be on a leash in public places unless the area is a designated off-leash area." Inner West Council publishes a list of gazetted off-leash areas; this venue is not on that list, so the council's general on-leash rule applies under the NSW Companion Animals Act 1998. Amazinf beautifully designed park. The toilets are available, but do not use temporary one it was nasty. However there is a big lawn area, there is basketball, bridge water and great place to bring pet dog, to play bike, and there is awesome kid playground.
Another great place for the family to come watch NewYears fireworks.. Not in my top 10 places for amazing views but if you don’t want to be sitting in hours of traffic going to the popular places everyone decides to head to an hour before midnight; then this place ticks the boxes. Plenty of parking at 11pm. Open grass area for families especially with kids…
It’s taken a very long time to get safe crossings into the park from Lilyfield road pathways. They’re still not right and there’s no adequate traffic calming leading up to both crossings, so it’s leaving a lot up to the choice of the drivers to slow down in time. Also still taking a long time to get suitable toilet facilities near the kids playground. They’ve finally built two individual units but have not opened them, weeks later. I’m not confident that the management of this park will be adequate by the council based on flawed promises to date by the mayor, Darcy Byrne.
wide and fun grass space for the dogs with running and bike lanes. since there few small trees only, not much shade though.
Fantastic playground, the kids loved it. Plenty of different areas for different ages and interests. The Park itself is a lovely area to walk around.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
