Mudgee Brewery, right next to St John the Baptist Anglican Church, is a charming little spot with a great vibe. I had the Double Chocolate Espresso Martini—absolutely delicious! My partner enjoyed a paddle of local beers, all of which were fantastic. The Mud Beer… well, it’s not my favourite. It actually reminds me of Fijian kava—an acquired taste for sure! Still, I can see why it’s a local legend, with its history dating back to 1883. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and the cozy atmosphere plus the range of drinks makes this brewery a must-visit in Mudgee.

A great place to enjoy several types of beer made locally. Get a paddle to try many beers at once. Well priced at only $15 for 4. Their pints are also reasonably priced. The food is a little expensive for what it is. The steak costs a lot more than the pub nearby and was overcooked (medium rare was medium well). Similar experience with the fish and chips being much more costly than the pub, but not worth the price difference. The staff were excellent, friendly and efficient in getting the tables cleaned and ready. Can not fault their service. I would suggest coming here for a drink and enjoy the tunes when the band is on.

We visited this pub for an early dinner, and the place looked very welcoming with a great atmosphere. It’s nice that they have their own brewery inside. The staff were very attentive and friendly, and we really enjoyed their beers. The cocktails, however, were a bit expensive in my opinion. When we visited, the menu was quite limited, with only three mains available. We ordered the fish and the Thai beef salad. The fish was just okay, but unfortunately the Thai beef salad was very disappointing—there were barely any vegetables, and it was mostly noodles. Overall, we enjoyed the drinks and the vibe, but the food was a letdown.

Live music, delicious food, surprisingly amazing service for a pub. The waitstaff checked on us and quickly corrected a wrong order. The food itself, especially the aioli sauce that we had with the chips were delicious. I had the porterhouse steak with cowboy butter and it was perfectly cooked. The cowboy butter is mustardy and flavourful. Better than the pub feeds I've had in Sydney by far. Only photos are half eaten because the food was so good.

My son and I had an absolutely fantastic evening at Mudgee Brewing Co! From the moment we stepped inside the 100-year-old building with its exposed brick, rustic rafters and brewing tanks on display, the atmosphere just wowed us , cozy, lively and full of character. I ordered the 250 g Porterhouse steak (served with roasted potatoes, steamed greens and Cowboy butter) and it was cooked to absolute perfection. My son went for the Mac Daddy (think burger meets pizza) and it was a delicious. The menu is full of exciting choices — steaks, house-made pizzas, burgers and more. To top it off, the night included trivia, which added a fun and energetic vibe to the evening. We loved being part of it, chatting and laughing as we answered questions. Overall, it felt like more than just dinner — it was an experience. Service was friendly and attentive, which made us feel well taken care of the entire time. In sum: a really fun, relaxed night out with great food, cool surroundings and a bit of entertainment on the side. I wholeheartedly recommend Mudgee Brewing Co to anyone in the area looking for a memorable meal with atmosphere.
