Quiet, clean location. Service friendly and professional. The bacon, egg and spinach wrap was yummy. Tea and half strength coffee was excellent. We will revisit again next week.

I had to write this review as soon as I got home... popped into this small cafe in Mona Vale the Gateway Lobby Café .... from the outset looked nothing out of the norm .. but .. omg .. is an absolute treasure, thanks to the incredible culinary skills of Yan the owner and chef. The gourmet homemade pies ... are geeez ....so nice very gourmet ... I now drive there from Manly to pick up a few ...they are freshly made every morning and delivered by an English chef, frankly the best pies I've ever had. The ingredients and flavour is testament to the quality and care put into their preparation. Yan's homemade wontons are simply the best I've ever had .. period. !!! The freshness and flavor are unmatched, making them a must-try for anyone visiting the café. The onsite freshly squeezed orange juice she supplies is what I'll be coming back for made from fresh oranges delivered daily, is another highlight. The sandwiches and cakes are equally impressive, offering a delightful range of flavors and textures. Yan's house blend coffee is probably the best coffee I've ever had..... She brews it to the perfect temperature, with just the right amount of froth, showcasing her barista expertise something so much missing in a lot of coffee shops... Beyond the food, Yan's personality and energy she creates at the café make every visit special. The relaxed, beachy feel of the café, with its inside and outside seating options, is perfect for both winter and summer. I love the fact that morning newspapers are always on hand, adding to the café's welcoming and comfortable ambiance. Gateway Lobby Café is truly a hidden gem in Mona Vale , offering exceptional food and a wonderful relaxed experience. Look .. I was blown away it's absolutely not what you would expect.... I highly recommend popping in :) to anyone looking for a casual setting with surprisingly unique offerings in Mona Vale - Andrew / Manly
