I just had the best salad of my life! I was wandering around Mosman absolutely starving and stopped at the first place I saw. Luckily, it was this cafe. The moment I read Chicken Tikka ($24.5) on the menu, the decision was made. Chicken breast marinated in yoghurt, herbs and spices, slow-cooked for 6 hours, served on a bed of kale, spinach and quinoa, with pomegranate, raisins, cashews and coconut, plus mango chutney, mint yoghurt and spiced avocado. Every bite felt like a hug. So balanced, comforting and full of flavour. The kind of lunch you want to slowly enjoy on a beautiful day. Definitely one of those accidental finds that stay with you.
I stopped by Avenue Road Cafe Mosman for a coffee and breakfast, and it honestly made my day. I’d love to give a special mention to one of the staff members — an Asian lady with a cute fringe haircut, wearing an Apple Watch. Even though the café was quite busy, she was incredibly kind and attentive. She helped me find a seat and, what really touched me, was that she remembered I was still waiting for a table. That level of care means a lot. She took my order, brought out the food, and her friendly smile and calm energy made the whole experience feel warm and welcoming. Little moments like this are what turn a simple coffee stop into a lovely memory. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a cosy café around Mosman. Thank you for the great service — hope you all have a wonderful day ☕️🤍
Amazing pancakes! I half-ate them forgetting to take a photo 😅 Porridge is warm and lovely, there is a bit of a wait with getting served and getting our food (and drink) but it’s a pleasant one. Muffins are delicious, fritters are amazing— as well as the omelette (one of the best omelettes i’ve ever had) didn’t manage to get a photo of it though… amazing variety of drinks too! Very unique. Coffee is great! The place is always very busy, especially around 8:30-9:30 (times when my family and i go). We went again and the specials were Amaizng!!! The “not a pizza” flat omelette on naan bread should permanently be on the menu, as well as the halloumi curry and protein fluffy egg white savoury pancakes🥞 🍛(though that omelette is the best) They have the best hot chocolates with whipped cream in Mosman! They have Belgian chocolate here unlike other places who use powder or syrup making it 10x better— I hope they never remove it.
A cosy cafe with indoor and outdoor sitting. Went with friends and sat in warmth of sunny afternoon. As a group we had salad bowls, garden burger and fish tacos. It was fresh and tasty along with a mocha. If in the neighborhood do give it a try.
My absolute favorite spot for brekkie/brunch and coffee in Mosman! While I haven’t tried every breakfast place in Mosman, I’ve been to quite a few, and this one stands out as my favorite so far. Yes, it’s a bit pricey, but no more so than other places in the area, and it’s absolutely worth it. The food is not only delicious but also a little more original (like the sweet potato crisps on the avocado toast), beautifully presented, and most importantly, filling. I’ve tried several dishes for breakfast, but my favorite is definitely the Himalayan Hash with halloumi (please keep it on the menu!). I once tried a lunch special (crispy chicken coleslaw on a waffle with maple syrup) and it was fantastic too. The corn fritters with salmon is a good one too. The place can get very busy at times, especially if you want to sit outside, so you may need to wait. That said, the service is always friendly, and the overall experience makes it worth the wait. I absolutely love my Saturday brunch ritual here. I wish I could do it every Saturday!
