What people say
The food at Middle Head Café was absolutely delicious! The beef pie was to die for — the filling was like soft, pulled beef, so tender, and the outside was perfectly crispy. My husband had the vegetarian omelette with cheese inside, and it was just as amazing. The sweet potato in it added a spectacular flavour. I also had a coffee and it was spot on — rich and delicious. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. They are French, and when they noticed my husband’s T-shirt saying he’s from Algeria, they even started speaking French with him, which made the experience extra special. The location is cute, easy to get to, and with parking on site, it’s very convenient. Overall, everything was amazing. Thank you, Middle Head Café!
Food was expensive for something that was pretty average, or didn’t taste that great. Also juice tasted awful. The Service was good though
Stopped off at this cafe to get takeaway to bring to the beach. The takeaway menu has just one vegetarian option but it looked nice, so I asked for it: the cheese and salad roll, reading it out from the takeaway menu. A woman shouted at me from the back of the kitchen that no changes could be made to items from the menu. It was mid- morning, quiet, and about 4 staff were standing around behind the counter so it did not seem unreasonable to request a menu adjustment especially as all the menu options were meat- heavy. However I was not even doing that, and only trying to order from the menu. So I indicated the item on the menu to her. The woman came up to look, like she had never seen the menu before and disbelieved me. She pointed out the item description went across two lines and I had only read one of them. She was so aggressive it was off-putting so I said, fine I will leave it then, and proceeded to order the rare beef roll for my partne. The staff then said that could only be made with a beef patty. I was only trying to order menu items to be met with rebuttals. It was such weird service we left withou t ordering anything after all.
Absolutely disgusting service! The chef is so arrogant and rude. My husband’s burger was cold and raw. We sent it back, and he didn’t want anything else as he was so put off by the raw and cold meat. Plus they just wanted to microwave it. When we went to pay they still wanted to charge us the $28. They ended up taking it off however he was so angry and didn’t even offer an apology. Absolutely no one did! We still ended up paying over $100. What a miserable bunch of people, all of them to be honest.
After a morning at the nearby Cobblers Beach; I recently tried the prosciutto , raclette and potato baguette and it was absolutely delightful! The baguette was perfectly toasted with a satisfying crunch on the outside and a soft, fluffy interior. The combination of salty prosciutto and creamy potato slices, layered with melted cheese, created a beautiful balance of flavors. It was hearty yet sophisticated. Highly recommend this dish for anyone craving something deliciously unique!
