Perfect spot facing the park with outdoor seating under awnings or umbrellas. I'm not a fan of Allpress coffee but some might like the slightly bitter taste. Very convenient for us as we stayed in the motel upstairs.
For only a short stroll across the road from Wollongong harbour, the Basin cafe is well situated for proximity and convenience. They offer an all day breakfast as well as lunch optionals. Additionally there are pastries, danishes, cakes and cookies on offer at the display counter. On the breakfast menu are usual options of sourdough toast including a fruit toast, BLTs, crepes and more. Overlapping in on the lunch menu includes 2 wholesome salads that can have chicken, smoked salmon and/or Halloumi added. There are burgers, steak sandwiches and more. Drinks include the usual hot and iced coffees and smoothies. Outdoor seating has many tables with umbrellas for shade. A decent stop in for a snack or meal
Great locations don’t always add up to an enjoyable experience. Staff taking orders and delivering table service looked like they wanted to be somewhere else. When there is a mix up with what is ordered and what u get it’s better customer service to not argue the point but work out a solution. I won’t be returning…..Food was nice.
Great spot, out of the wind, lovely outside tables. The food was served fast, açaí bowls were super yummy, burgers delicious. Prices are good. Absolutely recommend 👍
Just happened to see it from across the street while walking along the waterfront in Wollongong. They do have signs up to keep your voices down, I like that. The almond and 🫐 cake was excellent as was the custard tart. Coffee was definitely good 😊 it has a very nice long view of Wollongong harbour. On a lovely park. Well worth a visit and 🐕 friendly.
