Tallow Beach is a dog-friendly park in Suffolk Park. The Park Hotel Motel is also around 700 metres away if you're after a post-walk drink. Some conditions apply, so it's worth checking before you visit.
Dog rules
Tallow Beach is split at the Jarman Street beach access. North of it, dogs are allowed off-lead in the designated exercise area running up to the Arakwal National Park boundary — in the inter-tidal zone only, and dogs must stay off the dunes and dune rehabilitation areas. South of Jarman Street, through to the Broken Head Nature Reserve boundary, dogs are prohibited at all times. Dogs are also prohibited in Arakwal National Park and Broken Head Nature Reserve.

Beautiful, secluded beach; situated close by, to Tallow Creek, Suffolk Park. Expansive views & great to walk from one end to the other. In warmer months, there are very small jellyfish that can sting you. Otherwise, I enjoyed a fantastic swim! Love this whole area!

Such a spectacular beach! There's a neat "black river" that has natural tea tree water you can swim in. Riptide is intense - suggested for only strong swimmers. Great place to wind surf or enjoy the powdery white sand, a wide expanse of natural ocean beauty that feels nearly private. Beware blue bottle jellies!
