Music was great. Meals - wifey had the steak salad, five star, cleaned the plate. I had the schnitzel, schit and chips was very good, had the pepper sauce, not my thing, white sauce base. Salad was crap, not a salad. Green weeds a bit of red cabbage doesn't make a salad

Used to love the food at the SP hotel but it’s been really ordinary lately. What was delicious fish n chips with salad has become limp fish pieces and a few packet greens thrown on the plate. Bring back the former chef! Please 🙏🏼

I didn’t stay at The Park Hotel, and want to comment only on the pub, which I frequented three times during a recent visit to the area. My first time was a Thursday night, with the cheap schnitzel and beer offer. The place was packed, and deservedly so. An ok schnitzel, with a beer included, for a competitive price. The atmosphere was lively and friendly. I returned on the Friday, and sampled from the wide range of beers on tap, while enjoying some live music that wasn’t too intrusive. Went back again on Saturday night, and found the music from the DJ far too loud. It was mainly family groups there, and no one was dancing, or even sitting in the large middle area in front of the speakers. Perhaps the wrong time and place for club-style entertainment. The music was too intense for me to relax and enjoy my meal (a crispy chicken burger, which was tasty, and chips, which were ok, but already getting cold when I got them), let alone stay for a second beer. I guess I’ll keep future visits to week nights.

My family attended the park restaurant for dinner on a Monday night. We saw the kids eat free on the sign on the front of the building and on the website. When my husband went to order, he was told they don't do the 'kids eat free' during the summer. Even though it's advertised on the front of the building and on their website. I was told by the waitress they would let management know, and they can't honour the deal. There were a few other families who also asked about why they weren't honouring the deal they were advised. The staff was very rude and even accused me of swearing at her. Our food was good and it came out quickly. There was a male waitress who was brilliant and polite. The waitress, who I spoke to regarding the deal, served 1 meal to us, and threw it on the table, and walked away.
