Canterbury Park is a park in Canterbury. Dog access isn't confirmed, but it may be worth checking.

Dog rules

Canterbury-Bankstown City Council's "Pet-friendly parks and reserves" page states: "please remember to keep your dog on a leash unless the reserve is classified as a 'dog off-leash area'." The council's "Animals and pets" page summarises this as: "Keeping your dog on a leash, unless in a designated off-leash area." This venue is not on Canterbury-Bankstown's published off-leash list, so the council's general on-leash rule applies under the NSW Companion Animals Act 1998. The new park is terrible and only for 7 to 16year olds, now smaller children under 7 has no play equipment here. The old park as seen in my photo had 3 slides, and accomadated to a larger age range. Canterbury Bankstown council (Cbc) prepare yourselves for legal ramifications when children fall from this cheap poorly constructed NEW play ground. This is a massive waste of money making what was there worse instead of better. Next time you plan think about the demographic. Not many 16 yr olds play in a park! This space would of benefited from just leaving the old play equipment and just having added benches and bbq facility instead. CBC failed!

A really cute park. There is a great new playground and some interesting paths to explore. It is bigger than it looks and lots of paths to practice scooting and riding.

Good place to distraction and hiking. The place is beautiful and there is a lot of people walking a da making tour with their pets and ball. Is amazing. In sunny days, is perfect to pick nic and more. You need to know there. Beautiful environment.

Small park located in Ashbury with Blick Oval and a sports field as the main attractions. The park wanders down to Canterbury Park racecourse with thorughgood racing on selected days; some evening race nights also scheduled. It is a quiet location for a picnic but with few amenities.

Plenty of green space, near the river and a quick stroll to the shops and cafes
