Salt Pan Creek Reserve is a park in Riverwood. Dogs are generally allowed on a lead in NSW public parks unless signs say otherwise — but the rules here aren't confirmed, so check local signage before visiting.
Salt Pan Creek Reserve was a very quiet park with almost nobody there. There is a part of the reserve called Riverwood Wetlands that’s great for taking photos, has plenty of playgrounds and is good for BBQs. There is also an outdoor gym at the Riverwood Wetlands Reserve. If you want, You can go on a school day with toddlers not in preschool or kids not at school at the Moment, and it will be quiet for a massive park. Can't forget there is also a skate park at the Riverwood Wetlands reserve. There is also an oval great for taking your dog if you go far enough. Unfortunately why I rated it 4 star is because dogs don’t have the most space in the oval due to weeds growing. It's great for: - Photographers - Kids - Skaters - Dogs, if the council gets rid of the weeds - & Bird watchers I recommend going! It's awesome.
A quiet place to run, walk or ride a bike. The large plateau that is covered in grass used to be the old Riverwood dump from the 1950s. It closed in the 60s I think and nature and a bit intervention made it look nicer. Some of the footpaths are cemented but the track that goes around the plateau is gravel. Still though, a nice part of SW Sydney. Abundant birds, bridges and mangroves.
Very nice walking track, creek, shrubs, wild life and native plants. The apartment complex near by has a lovely community garden and water feature. The total circle is 14km, good for walking or jogging.
Is a good places to have a walk after meals. It is well maintained and have clear pathway, located besides the apartments and units buidings. The atmosphere insides is calm and have many seating areas for picnics or sitting there to relax yourself. We even walked in to visit the community garden sites and saw a chicken.
Excellent place to go for long walks. Can get 20k loops easy. The walkways are a bit run down, and several bridges were destroyed and never repaired. You can also cycle along. Although it's not allowed technically... 😅
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
