Scarborough Park North is a well-regarded dog-friendly park in Kogarah.
Dogs are permitted on leash under Bayside Council’s dog policy. Dogs must be on a lead unless they are inside a designated off-leash area. Dogs are prohibited within 10 metres of children’s play equipment and food preparation or eating facilities, except where the food area is on a public thoroughfare such as a road, footpath or pathway.
A great recreational area with nice lake views where you can walk your dog and get close to the nature. It is part of a larger open space system contributing to the Monterey reserves and wetlands and is subject to the redevelopment under Bayside Council. Walking is not recommended on wet days as the footpath along the lake is not well constructed. The creek expands further to Rockdale Bicentennial Park in the north.
Lots of rubbish and stagnant water unfortunately.😞😢Amazingly there are lots of Willy Wagtails and red brown finches to watch.
Nice place for a walk or bike ride. Quite a few paths to follow next to the water and through some scrub and trees. There is also some birdlife to observe and even horses close to Ramsgate. So sad the tennis courts have become abandoned. Looks like they are upgrading the area between Rockdale and Ramsgate, very excited to see what it becomes.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
