Not very busy at 4pm for happy hour. I mentioned to the barman in the white shirt who encouraged me to enjoy the cheaper beers but when I ordered a coopers he poured the beer and charged me $11.50 regular rate. And I mentioned it should have cost me $8 instead of $11.50, he then proceeded to tell me that THAT beer wasn’t included in the happy hour. He could have told me that before he poured those beers. He said if you don’t pay for it you have to leave. Terrible customer service. And we come to Sydney a lot and won’t be returning. We’re here for another 2 nights. Hopefully The Belroy across the road has better service. We plan on eating dinner too.
St Leonards TAB has a solid pub-style menu — nothing fancy, but always reliable. Staff are friendly and welcoming, and it’s become our go-to spot for office lunches and a few beers on a Friday afternoon. Great local vibe!
Was really happy with the $20 steak on Tuesday night steak special. The portion was decent, however still ordered 2 portion for myself. Pepper sauce was on point and the staff was friendly. Didnt know why someone said they’re rude. It’s a pub, not fine dining.
Best Pub Steak under $20??? I’m embarking on a journey to qualify this accolade but what an absolute banger to start with at $17! Had a bit of a funky wine poured by the glass but the manager quickly exchanged for a fresh bottle and better blend…choice bro! The steak was ordered Rare with Peppercorn sauce: Rare Rump Steak Grilled beautifully all over and rested to retain its soft and juicy texture ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Chips - crispy and golden brown ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Peppercorn sauce - fine, creamy with that lovely piquancy from green peppercorns…a deft hand thanks Chef Sahib! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Side salad— refreshing zingy dressed fresh leaves and veg julienne with a subtle, citrusy, mildly sweet on the palate feel…joy! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’ve been a chef for 40yrs and this place deserves to be on your radar for high quality and exceptional bang for you buck, lunches & dinners! Will be on the hunt to see how St Leos Tavern stacks up locally and further afield. Bravo Team!! Well done 👏
First time dining in here. We didnt expect much but they did exceeded our assumptions. Great food! We ordered wagyu burger + apple cider and my fiancé ordered Chicken Parmi. Also, he loved the beer on tap. Conveniently located near StLeonards train station. Also their closing time is at around 2 or 4am👌🏼❤️
