Second visit here from Sydney. It does not disappoint. Such a cute spot always buzzing. Food is good and comes out relatively quick, decent sizes.
Service was very quick. However, this created the draw back for the experience. Specifially asked for a hot coffee and got a luke warm one. Informed the wait person when the table was being bussed and received an appology and that the kitchen would be informed. No offer of compensation. Food appeared very quickly after being ordered. Noted that the mushrooms had been reheated, not fershly cooked. oven roasted tomatoe was refridgerator cold in the middle, bacon where the eye of the bacon had curled throughout the cooking process had cooking oil pooling in it. Small sealed packets of butter were runny because they had been placed on top on the toasted bread for service. Staff are quite pleasant and polite
Very friendly staff with wide variety of food and really friendly service Food potion was so satisfying and delicious too...! Chai tea was really authentic and refreshing.
After enjoying the first strawberry picking session, a gang of f9 amily members came to hear the Picton Social to have our breakfast. The staff is nice to combine three small tables to form a long bench for us. We ordered drinks like traditional English breakfast tea and iced brew coffee, food like thick Raisin toast to Piston Social signature burger, kids drink like fresh water melon juice and babycino. Although the food quality is average, the service and atmosphere gained back some scores 👏
Attended Picton Social for a late breakfast. We were immediately delighted with the ambience of the cafe with the many original artworks on display in the cafe and the numerous interesting and bespoke items for sale. Service was prompt and attentive. Water was provided on the table, and we ordered coffee's that were served quicker than we had anticipated, given that the cafe was quite crowded. Really good coffee, I enjoyed it a lot! We ordered our meals which arrived in a timely fashion. I had the Egg Benedict with Smoked Salmon. How to describe it? It just seemed to have more of everything. More ingredients, more flavour ... yes more of everything. We have to come back again to sample the "green goddess", most intriguing.
