We chose Annata for our 15th Wedding Anniversary, and it was, quite simply, flawless. Having frequented high-end spots like Felix and Sake in the city for our special occasion celebrations, we have decided to stay in our shore this time. Our expectations for service and food quality are high, Annata didn’t just meet them; they matched them with a more intimate, personal touch. The service was top-tier. A huge thank you to the owner, John Bligh - later we understood we were almost neighbor :) - , and his team for being so accommodating. They allowed us to bring a special bottle of Taittinger Champagne (a sentimental family gift) as an exception for our milestone, which made the night even more meaningful. They were also incredibly attentive to my wife’s gluten intolerance, with Chef Jordon Garcia seamlessly adjusting the menu without compromising the experience. As for the food—the 4-course tasting menu was a masterclass. The Aquna Murray Cod was the perfect companion to our bubbles, and the steak was cooked and presented to perfection. A surprising highlight was the Macadamia Gelato; even as someone who isn't usually a fan of dark chocolate, I couldn't stop eating it. If you are looking for an established, authentic fine-dining experience with 'hat-quality' food and elite service on the North Shore, this is it. We will certainly be repeat customers.

Very nice restaurant tucked away in Crows Nest. Restaurant is well presented, waiting staff are attentive but reserved, food is very good. I had the zucchini flowers for entree which we very tasty and the dry aged pork neck for mains. Definitely recommended this dish - cooked perfectly, tender with sweet pineapple to contrast. Other guests’ standouts were beef tartare and spatchcock. We had 2 desserts - both delicious and recommended: macadamia chocolate ice cream and peach truffle Mille Feuille - a perfect end to a delicious meal.

Absolutely loved my experience at Annata's Chef Tasting Tuesday, where the chef tries out new dishes for the future menu and you can offer feedback or just rate the dishes, although not required. Each dish was complex, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared and plated. On my tasting menu, everything was extremely high quality and I really loved how the tiger prawn and the duck were prepared. It was the best duck breast I've ever tasted and is not something I normally would order on my own. The yellowfin was also extremely tasty and high quality cuts. I tried three different cocktails and they were all really good, even when I asked for something not listed on the menu. Sara, my waitress and the bartender, did an amazing job preparing drinks and managing my plates, and described each one to me. I sat at the bar area and Sara was a huge reason this experience felt so elevated as she was super engaging, friendly and a craft cocktail expert. looking forward to trying more of their menu. Get the crumpet snack as a starter and just trust this chef with his ideas and experiments, you will be happy. The owner is also a wine expert, even though I didn't do the wine pairing and stuck to cocktails for this trip. Was so so happy I gave this place a chance, highly recommend.

Absolutely loved Annata. It’s all brand new, looks great & waitstaff is knowledgeable and friendly. The cuisine was simply amazing. Everything was cooked & seasoned to perfection. The wagyu was the best I ever had. The sauces are top quality. I’ve been to a lot of high end restaurants mainly in Australia, France and the US, and did not expect to find this level of quality from this next door bistro. Definitely will be back ❤️

We celebrated my partner’s birthday at their new location opening day with their 5 course menu in addition with oysters, zucchini flower, champagne and wine. Every single course was delicious, amazing, well cooked, well thought out and a pleasant experience for our palates. Congratulations to the chefs who have such high level cooking skills and taste. Definitely a rare gem in St. Leonard’s/Crows Nest. We enjoyed every single course so much that we didn’t want it to end. We will definitely recommend anyone to Annata, as they are now our top favourite restaurant to dine in. The restaurant atmosphere and decorations were great. We will definitely come back to dine at Annata again. Thank you for the wonderful experience. Worth every penny.
