Naremburn Park is a large off-leash space with a good mix of open grass and tree coverage. It's not fenced, so dogs need reliable recall, but the size of the park means there's plenty of room to spread out. Morning and afternoon sessions draw a friendly regular crowd. The park has BBQs, toilets, parking, and waste bags, and dogs must stay 10 metres from the playground area. It's a popular everyday park for the Willoughby area.
Designated off-leash dog exercise area. Dogs must be under effective control at all times. Dogs are not permitted within 10 metres of play areas or playgrounds. Source: Willoughby City Council – Off-leash areas (willoughby.nsw.gov.au/Residents/Pet-ownership/Dog-ownership/Off-leash-areas)
Nice park, very open. No off leash area for dogs, but dogs were still off leash, drinking bowls and taps were not clean for dogs. Public bathrooms had no signs.
Lovely place to walk my dog. Lots of space to run around and plenty of dogs to play with.
Nice dog friendly local park with two big fields, two basketball courts and a playground! There are complimentary poo bags and also has a regular dog community which usually convene around 4-5pm on weekdays. Unfortunately, there is no available schedule that I can check for sports times and there isn't really any dedicated space for dogs during sports games.
Naremburn Park on Station Street, just 800 m from St Leonards Station and close to Royal North Shore Hospital, is one of the area’s most versatile and well‑used green spaces. It’s spacious, easy to access, and well‑equipped for both casual visitors and organised sport. Two large ovals support soccer, rugby and cricket, complemented by cricket nets for training. Basketball Courts Two popular, well‑maintained basketball/netball courts sit beside the picnic area.F A playground linked to the Don Wilson Playground area, plus BBQs, picnic tables and clean public toilets behind the courts. Easy walk from St Leonards, with multiple parking options and flat paths throughout. ParkingOff street parking on Park Road and near the top oval via Frances Street. On street parking along Station Street and Dalleys Road.
Lovely big off-lead park with a great bunch of dogs around most days. Only downsides are that it is not fully fenced in, make sure your dog has good recall. Also most nights there will be sports on the fields. You gotta be a little flexible with dogs and the sporting people but all happens in harmony from what I've seen. There is fresh water for dogs available. 4 stars because you can find dogs here almost all day long but not quite 5 stars due to fencing and sporting.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
