What people say
This is a great pub, with plenty of space both inside and in the beer garden. It can get busy so if with a larger group advisable to book a table. We can on a Tuesday night and they have 2 for 1 meals. The menu is quite typical for pub food. We tried loads of different things including the schnitzel and the ravioli which was quite bland. It is dog and child friendly.
Just perfect. From superb food, relaxing atmosphere and brilliant staff who went above and beyond to accommodate our requirements. Added bonus being it’s value for money too.
I was NOT expecting a fine dining experience in the back of a pub in Glebe, but WOW! The staff went out of their way to make an impromptu ‘Thanksgiving’ amongst friends a truly delightful experience, particularly in how they played items and served them ‘family style’ for us. The staff were attentive and cheerful! Only regret is that Thanksgiving doesn’t fall on a Sunday, so we’ll have to come back to try the roast! And more of those Scotch Eggs 🤤
For a out of Towner we came to this place due to our workplace booking it for our workshop dinner. The place has a very rustic charm and feels like you are transported back in time. The food was very tasty and couldn’t fault on the service. The wines and drinks were good and the GSM red wine on the night was good as well. Had a very good dinner and an everyone had a good and memorable is occasion.
Lovely time spent with family on my last night in Sydney before heading back home. Our server was a kind and patient gentleman who took care of our table of 8 practically by himself. Our glasses were always full, as were our hearts and tummies.
