Myself, my sister and my dad have just come out from having lunch here and it was nothing short of superb. What a wonderful place to sit and have some delicious food. The banoffee pancake stack were the fluffiest pancakes I have EVER eaten and the banoffee flavour complimented them beautifully, the apple juice was delightful, my dad had high compliments for the taste of the tea, the staff were friendly, giving a warm and inviting atmosphere, and to top it off they have giant cookies to take away which I am very excited to try later this evening. Locals or people travelling (like myself and my family all the way from England!) get yourself to Newtown, Sydney and experience this lovely cafe. Thankyou Flour Drum team 🫶🏻

Sometimes you walk into a place and everything just feels right. Flour Drum is one of those places. We turned up on a rainy morning and were welcomed into the warm inviting space. My friends dietary modification request was happily accommodated, and there are plenty of good options on the menu for all types of eaters. I had the smashed avocado with bacon on the side, and it was great. A generous serving of avocado, nicely complemented with Bulgarian feta. 100% will return!

I love everything about this cafe! Fantastic coffee & delicious homemade food. As soon as I stepped through the doors I felt the amazing vibe that’s part of the whole Newtown experience. The atmosphere & decor is uniquely eclectic..& don’t miss the beautiful outdoor garden dining area where there’s always something to look at. I’ll be going here every day while I’m staying in Newtown. Also a big shoutout to the owners & staff who are incredibly friendly & welcoming & if you’re lucky might even tell you about the ‘extra’ inhabitants of the cafe!
