The Lookout Echo Point is a pub in Katoomba with outdoor seating. It hasn't yet been confirmed as dog-friendly, so it's best to check with the venue before visiting.
Food was terrible. The salt & pepper squid was so oily it was sickening. The batter is thick and had no pepperberry flavour. It was all stuck together not delicate just stodgy, more like fish and chip shop junk than even a bistro. The chicken skewers are a joke, you pay $18 for TWO. The flavour of the lemon myrtle is there and the sauce was much needed as the chicken was dry, and for chicken thigh meat that's almost impressive to get it so dry. The outside area is tired and needs some work. Paint peeling, dirty shade cloth, needs some pressure washing.
Visited Echo Point on a quiet Monday super easy to get to with loads of parking available. I imagine it might be busier on weekends. Views are stunning, but just a tip: it gets pretty cold in August, so rug up! The sisters looked majestic!
Such a lovely & beautiful spot!! The staff here are all very friendly, the cocktails were great! The food was mediocre but still made for a lovely meal.
We were here as part of a HAL tour. Service was great and lunch was served family style. Food was ok, nothing special though I really liked the crispy skin on chicken. I can't speak to the view as it was cloudy with drizzle while we were there.
Made a booking for the restaurant and it wasn't made clear that "upstairs" is only for tour groups so we were in the very casual cafe. Food was ok, not overly generous and almost overcooked. Atmosphere would be one star except for the great view. Nice gelato.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
