Maple Grove Park is a quiet local park in Katoomba with shade, open grass, BBQ facilities and a weather shelter. Dogs are welcome on-leash, as it is not on the council's off-leash list, with bins, toilets and parking on hand. It is an easy, low-key spot for a walk in the upper Blue Mountains. A simple on-leash park close to town.
Dogs are welcome on leash. This venue is not listed as an off-leash area, so keep your dog on lead and follow signs on site. (Source: Blue Mountains.)
Very nice, quiet area. Picnic tables. Plenty of parking, BBQs, shady spots, grassy, rubbish bins provided. Creek runs through park, lots of yellow crested cockatoos, flowers, ferns and native fauna. Nice place for a picnic or BBQ.
Beautiful picnic spot along the parking lot. Shades and seating provision available. Large maple leaf trees surrounding the location. Great viewing during the autumn season. Close to Katoomba waterfalls.
We stopped at Maple Grove Park for a break, and it was such a peaceful spot—until the locals arrived! The highlight: The cockatoos here are everywhere. It was so much fun watching them fly around and hang out in the trees. They are beautiful (and loud!) and really add to the Blue Mountains vibe. A great place to relax and enjoy the birdlife up close.
