The Lounge area was nice, and the staff were attentive, which was appreciated. However, there was no view and no suitably pleasant outdoor area to enjoy on what was a lovely sunny day. We ordered burgers, but unfortunately they were overly salty and the meat was tough. Overall, it was a rather underwhelming experience, which was disappointing given our expectations of the venue.
We had our dinner at the Lounge which is perfect to spend the night and have a very nice conversation. The staffs are friendly too! All the food in these photos are 10/10!
We stopped in for high tea on our last day in the blue mountains - it was delicious! The wraps and sandwiches were well presented and very fresh - I enjoyed the Brie and cranberry mini slider the most. The sweet treats were some of the best I’ve ever had, my husband particularly enjoyed the lemon meringue pie. The scones were fluffy and warm - sooo good! Nice selection of teas and coffees and I had a tremendous hot chocolate. Lovely atmosphere, comfy chairs and they had the fire on which was nice on a cool rainy day. Decent, friendly service if a little slow at times. Not too pricey either, would highly recommend.
Well worth the experience. We had a lovely afternoon tea here mid week. Was tranquil, quiet, and a beautiful traditional setting. All their pastries were top notch! I would have loved some clotted cream, but it’s not England afterall, so the double cream will have to do.
On a cold and misty Spring day we enjoyed a leisurely High Tea in the elegant Lounge of Lilianfels. The staff were efficient and friendly. We enjoyed the food selection, although the jam served with the scones was tasteless and the scones were too large for finger-style food. My mother enjoyed her pot of strong tea but I would have appreciated the option of a small plunger of coffee, instead of the small and awkward-to-hold cup of flat white. Unfortunately there was also a very large family group sitting near us who were quite noisy and disrupted the otherwise peaceful atmosphere. Overall though, we enjoyed the High Tea experience very much.
