Was the pest pub in Sydney before they revamped the menu and added a rooftop bar, and it’s even better now. Been here far too many times, and never been let down. Staff are friends with everyone, beers are cold, and food is great. What more could you want

Best pub in Sydney. Food is always amazing, with a rotating menu throughout the year. Spice bag immaculate, smash burgers are great, the bangers and mash always hit...

I had a great experience at SPH today Sunday 22/3/26. From the moment I walked into SPH to the moment I left I felt very welcomed. The bar staff were very friendly & welcoming. I really enjoyed my burger & chips with my favourite drink Lemon Lime & Bitters. I will definitely be back as I am now a local resident. Looking forward to my next visit. I highly recommend a visit to SPH.

My group of 10 retired walkers were well looked after here. The lovely Irish Australian barmaid made us very welcome, quickly rearranging tables and chairs for us, including a space for a wheelchair. We were well provided with jugs of water after our long walk around Sydney Park. The meals were delicious. Do try the black bean nachos! The burgers and chips looked great too. Very generous helpings on all meals. We visited on a Thursday at lunchtime.

We used to love SPH and have been coming regularly for a while now. We recently visited with some family on a weeknight for a quick pub dinner. Don’t know if it is a new rule (we have never had a problem previously with supervised children in the dining area) but no children under 18 past 5pm, any day of the week. We had a four month old baby and were denied entry at 5pm. Our family members subsequently left as we could not dine together! Such a disappointment. It’s a real shame this venue is not family friendly as the local community and family vibe around this area is fantastic. If you have children, look elsewhere! Will not be returning.
