Loved this area!!! Came here on Christmas Eve for a BBQ by the beach. Did the traditional shrimp on the Barbie. Total vibe. Very busy from all different cultures. Had a speaker going, everyone joining in singing. Views of the beach.
nice spot next to bondi where u can bbq! There are 2 picknick tables with shade. Make sure u go very early on a Saturday to claim a table/barbecue spot. When we arrived around 10, the tables were already taken. We got lucky that a group was leaving so we could jump on for the rest of the day for a bday celebration. Restrooms are just a few minutes walk away. Best to park at Wilson’s parking for 35$, reserved so u don’t have to stress since the parking nearby is scarce
Biddigal Reserve – A Quiet Escape Next to Bondi’s Hidden Gems Coming from Vancouver, Canada, where the ocean is calm and clear, I was truly impressed by Biddigal Reserve. Located just a short walk from Wally Weekes Ocean Pool and North Bondi Children’s Pool, this peaceful green space offers a quiet retreat while still being close to Bondi’s iconic coastline. It’s the perfect spot for those looking to enjoy nature, take a leisurely stroll, or have a relaxing picnic. The lush greenery and open spaces of Biddigal Reserve reminded me of my time at Joaquina Beach in Florianópolis, Brazil. Both places offer a sense of calm and tranquility, with beautiful natural surroundings that allow you to unwind and enjoy the ocean breeze. While in Vancouver, I’m used to the peaceful coastal landscapes, and Biddigal Reserve offers a similar vibe, with wide open spaces and a view of the ocean from the distance. After enjoying the nearby pools, Biddigal Reserve is a great place to relax in the shade, take a break from the crowds, or simply enjoy the view. Whether you're looking for a quiet moment to reflect, a place to picnic, or a gentle walk to complete your Bondi experience, this reserve offers a perfect spot to recharge. Biddigal Reserve blends seamlessly with the peaceful atmosphere of Wally Weekes Ocean Pool and North Bondi Children’s Pool, providing a tranquil escape close to Bondi Beach. It’s a hidden gem that is definitely worth visiting for anyone looking to enjoy Bondi’s quieter, natural side.
High enough to offer a great view of Bondi Beach. Good area to have kids play around while the adults sit on the available benches.
Surfer's heaven. For those surfing enthusiasts, thus is a place not to miss. The waves are epic. I'd love to go there with the family again in Summer.
