Friend recommended this spot and I’m glad they did - probably wouldn’t have found it otherwise. Came over from Marrickville and it was well worth it. If you’re into broths, this place is a dream. Thoughtful, home-style, and really well done. Calm, welcoming space with a great energy. Even on a super hot day we still went for the broths - already looking forward to winter. Will definitely be back. Thanks for this space!!
Always delighted to visit! Have pretty much tried everything they have, broth, soups, meal of the day, smoothies, hot drinks like matcha, chocolates, cakes… trust me, everything they provide are super healthy and delicious 😋
Have been excited to try this place. We arrived just before 3pm on a Sunday thinking we’d be in time for their fresh meals before they close at 4pm. However we arrived, chairs turned upside down on the table with no acknowledgement of us as we clearly looked a little confused. Eventually we found out there were a few meals left which the lady said for takeaway. However once we finished our meal at a bench across the street we saw that they had allowed another customer to sit inside and had taken the stool down. 3 stars because the food was tasty and good value for money however closing an hour early and the lack of proactive customer was disappointing. EDIT: appreciate your reply. I have added a screenshot with a time stamp of 3:02 pm meaning that we did indeed arrive before 3 pm and not 3:30 pm. We also were not with kids nor did we receive biscuits, so perhaps they have confused us with another family. We were a party of 4 so we could have sat indoors but we were told only takeaway.
Lovely community driven shop, which just can't meet my lofty expectations. We previously sampled several broths, and they needed to be boiled down by half to achieve the soup-worthy intensity that the word "broth" implies. I get its all top-notch ingredients, but that was my experience. The coffee is well-meaning but poorly executed with thin milk work finishing and mediocre beans, leaning towards bitterness. I get all the reasons you can tell me why I should think your coffee is great, but I know this field quite well, and I dont see queues for your coffee (mine went way down our block fyi...1100 between 7am and 2pm). The single piece of toast, somewhat burnt (explaining the glacial wait for it to emerge), is paired with a tablespoon of soused cabbage, which isn't sauerkraut, from our tasting. Pretty pricey for what it was, too. The team is really lovely. Wish I could rate it more highly.
Always amazing food! This would literally have to be the healthiest place you could eat in Sydney (if not Australia). Nourishment for the body and soul. I always stock up on quality packaged goods with every visit - the activated mixed nuts and crackers are family favourites. Do yourself a favour and go and have the meal of the day (just phone ahead as it’s often sold out by lunchtime)
