Barzura is a cafe in Coogee where dog access has not yet been confirmed — it's worth checking before you visit.
Stopped at Barzura at the south end of Coogee beach for a quick lunch and drinks after waking the coastal route from Bondi. Lovely friendly staff and some nice outside seating in the shade looking across to the bay. Menu looked good so we ordered the calamari and Greek salad plus a coke and a cider. Calamari was really delicious and salad perfect for sharing. A real beach vibe place and would happily return.
Great location and views, friendly staff and ambience, we had a good time. However, we were somewhat disappointed when it came to food for various reasons: - cutlery and napkins were missing at start and for a while - pricing seemed too high for the amounts served and presented. The 'fish tacos' were indeed just one taco. The kids burger came without chips (imagine the kids face, and adults) - presentation was way too simple for what is charged. It doesn't need to be fancy, but a salad should at least have dressing of some sort - Special dishes. Mie goreng was perfect in size and flavours and presentation, simple, unsophisticated but correct and decorated. The rest felt like things were thrown in the plate. This one was made by someone who cared. Overall it's a good spot, hard to think of any particular reason to come back other than the coffee. We still also have a lot to try from the menu. Cheers
Lovely Cafe at a superb location. Close to the action yet on a nice small street giving you that chill out vibe away from the big crowds. The salmon is amazing and so are the drinks!
A lovely restaurant serving high quality, delicious dishes. I highly recommend The Salmon in Red Curry Sauce.
