What people say
Yesterday, Wednesday the 21st, in the late afternoon/early evening, I approached this restaurant with the sole purpose of politely asking for a napkin. I am a delivery driver, and at that moment I was wearing my work uniform since I was on duty; however, I was not there to pick up any order or delivery. As I approached the main entrance, the staff at the door and behind the bar saw me and, without letting me speak or explain myself, immediately tried to remove me from the place, saying that delivery drivers must use another entrance. I fully understand that, based on my clothing, they may have assumed I was there for a delivery, but that does not justify the way I was treated. It is worth mentioning that there is a sign at the main entrance indicating that delivery drivers should use another door—a sign that I clearly saw and understood. Even so, I approached only to ask for a simple favor. The reaction was immediate and very unpleasant. Only after asking them to calm down and explaining that I just needed a napkin did they finally give it to me. I left the place with a strong feeling of rejection, simply because of the job I do. I strongly believe that this is not how people should be treated, regardless of their profession or role. Respect and courtesy should be the foundation of any customer service, especially in a business. What happened reflects a clear lack of professionalism.
Amazing food, amazing service and amazing vibes! Their carbonara is super traditional and delicious, and their pizzas are loaded and woodfired! Such a good spot!
Get to Rosso as soon as you can! Wow, what a great Italian gem, the freshest pasta and amazing pizza. Couldn’t fault anything. Feels like you are dining at one of the best trattorias in Rome. You guys are great and welcome to the hood!
Went for dinner quite a few times here with our elderly mother. Really liked the food. The main waiter Julio was very nice. However, when we went tonight the younger waiter was touching his mouth and picking his teeth behind the counter and then did not wash his hands. My mother was horrified about the hygiene and health issues. The younger waiter was very passive aggressive and clearly quite uninterested in his job. Clearly does not like working here and does not like the customers. What a pity that Julio spent all the time in the kitchen talking to the kitchen staff and letting the younger waiter let down the team. Must have been something very important happening in the kitchen that Julio did not really care about what was happening on the floor tonight. Oh well, there are plenty of other places in the area. My mother said we should go to caffe Roma next time.
Ordered lasagna online for pick up tonight for the first time and was a bit cautious because I couldn’t contact the store (only received an email confirmation), but when I arrived I was greeted with a big warm welcome. Julio (?) was very kind and made sure to check my order and also went out of his way to hold the door for me on the way out. The lasagna itself was delicious and fresh - keen to dine in one of these days to try the rest of the menu :) thanks team!
