Wangal Reserve is a dog-friendly park in Mortlake. Just 50m away, Bay West is a nearby spot to stop in after your walk.
City of Canada Bay's "Local off-leash areas" page states: "Failure to control your dog by means of an adequate chain, cord or leash (unless in a Council declared off-leash area) is an offence under the Companion Animals Act 1998." This venue is not in the council's declared off-leash areas, so dogs must be on-leash. (Source: City of Canada Bay — Local off-leash areas, canadabay.nsw.gov.au.)
The view is relaxing and good root for run, or taking your dog for a walk.
Have seen this headland, many times on the ferry. It is difficult to get to, but that makes more appealing. Parking is difficult. Particularly at peak times on Saturdays and Sundays. Try to car pool, catch public transport or get an Uber. Suitable to catch ferry from Cabarita and walk there , or train from Concord West and walk Views are impressive, barbecue was clean. Lots of views up and down the harbour . Access for people, cyclists and dogs It can get windy. Check weather app. Hard to get to, (in car due to parking) but worthwhile. Activities for the kids to do!
Relaxing atmosphere on the water. Dogs are fine on leash. Beautiful views close to Inner West
