Jervis Bay Mangrove Boardwalk is a waterside dog-friendly park in Huskisson where dogs are welcome on lead. Around 750 metres away, Bud's Tavern is a great spot for a post-walk drink. Some conditions apply, so it's worth checking the rules before you visit.
Dogs permitted on-leash under Shoalhaven City Council default policy (Companion Animals Act 1998). Not listed in the council's designated off-leash areas.
Worth a visit. Wheelchair friendly too. Looks fairly new and was a lovely walk.
Great place to enjoy the outdoors. Watch out for massive mozzies, though. 😅
Loved the boardwalk. Really well designed and built. We visited at low tide the first time, saw all the tiny crabs. Then came back the next day with the tide up, completely different! Well worth doing both.
Currently a significant section is closed for renovations so it's just an in and out section about 700m return. Still beautiful and lots of fish and trees to marvel at.
A short and easy walk along the wooden boardwalk that is open for all ages and abilities. It’s kept in great condition and is suitable for pram use and those unsteady on their feet. The walk leads to a platform that opens to Currumbine Creek where you can watch the watercraft and sea life. Walk amongst the mangroves and let the kids have fun spotting the tiny crabs below as they sense your presence and scurry back into their holes in the sand. There is seating along the way for tired little legs to rest but if yours are like mine, they’ll run the whole way 😆
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
