Huskisson Whitesands Park

This beach is pure, laid-back perfection. Soft, pale sand stretch far and wide, meeting calm turquoise water that gently rolls onto shore—ideal for swimming, floating, or just zoning out to the sound of waves. The water shifts from light aqua near the edge to deeper blue further out, giving it that postcard look without trying too hard. There’s a relaxed, unpretentious vibe here: locals enjoying the water, a few walkers along the shoreline, and even the cheeky seagulls are clearly confident they’ve picked the right spot (and possibly hoping for chips). The tree-lined edge of the beach really provides natural shade and a feeling of seclusion, balancing openness with comfort

Actually formally named as Huskisson Whitesands Park according to a plaque, its shortened name is Whitesands Park. The long strip of parkland is a peaceful place where you can gather your thoughts and revitalise activities. There's quite good toilets in the park, seating, water bottle refilling, and public BBQs. Nearby is a small beach (Shark Net Beach). The park joins White Sands Park, where there is a caravan park. An Aboriginal presence here is recorded going back thousands of years until they were forcefully removed from the beachfront.

A great place for a picnic! Outdoor barbecue facilities are also available.
