Great bakery. We had croissants, pain au chocolat, cinnamon scrolls, bacon and egg roll, and hot drinks. Very good. Best cinnamon scroll in Aus. Quick, efficient service. Busy vibe
Milkwood Bakery, Berry is one of those places where everything looks good… and then somehow tastes even better. Their pies are a certified crowd-pleaser — golden, hearty, and exactly what you want from a country bakery. But let’s be honest, the real headline act here is the Portuguese tart. These things are off the charts. The pastry has that proper crunch — flaky, buttery, and shatters just enough to remind you you’re alive. Then comes the centre: sweet, silky custard that melts in your mouth and makes you briefly forget your surroundings. It’s so dangerously moreish that taking small bites feels disrespectful. This is a one-bite commitment kind of tart. The problem? One is never enough. You finish it, pause for half a second, and immediately start planning how to get another without looking greedy (spoiler: you will look greedy and that’s okay). Be warned: the line regularly snakes across three stores, so when you finally get to the counter, order like you may never return. FOMO is real here and regret tastes worse than missing out on a second tart. If you’re in Berry and you skip Milkwood, that’s on you. Come for the pies, stay for the tarts, and accept that self-control will be left at the door. 🥧✨
We had the brisket panini and chicken paninis and we were not disappointed. Beautiful crunchy bread, very tasty fillings. I could always do with more meat but it was pretty good. The chicken paninis had artichoke and mushrooms which was a nice surprise.
Best beef pie we have tried. Had a few bakery sweets and our fav was the macadamia tart & strawberry tart, both wow factor for us. Their chicken wrap was a hit too. Fresh & yum Will definitely be back when in Berry again.
