Sister cafe to Ashfield Apothecary, serving the same top quality coffee beans in a quiet, sunny, unpresuming space, Maia is the small local spot where you can relax and chat while drinking some of the best coffee Sydney has to offer. Milk coffee is silky smooth, single origin espresso dialed in daily, batch and V60 options are always rotating as well as retail coffee beans for the home brewers. The staff are welcoming and friendly, which is no surprise from industry veterans who have worked in hospitality for years. They have a range of freshly-made sandwiches and pastries/cakes in the window. All delicious. No wait time for coffee. Dog friendly. Can’t ask for more from a cafe.

The Japanese girl staff gave me a free coffee to try. Very nice service. Ice latte is awesome. Environment is cute but a little bit hot inside.

The coffee shop right in front of the train station that wakes up the people of Lewisham! The kind East Asian baristars 🌟 are my favourite coffee specialists. I really appreciate their kindness and respect. The quality of coffee and the latte art is also top-notch. It's nice to sip on coffee sitting on the old wooden bench in front of the cafe, appreciating the morning sunlight.

Maia makes some of the best coffee around — smooth, strong, and full of flavour. The pastrami sandwich is seriously good, with tender meat and just the right amount of kick. The staff are always super friendly and make the place feel really welcoming.

Really yummy well thought out seasonal sandwiches matched with delicious and well made specialty coffee and the everyday stuff too. Kind, respectful people with great smiles. Recommend all the time.
