We booked for 7:30 pm seated outside, which was fine. After sitting down, we waited around 30 minutes for our order to be taken and had to follow up a few times before our drinks were served. We then waited another 40 minutes for our entrée and a further 30 minutes for our mains. The food was amazing. Honestly, some of the best we’ve ever had, but the service was really disappointing. If they can improve the waiting times and overall service, this place would truly be a hidden gem.

My personal favourites are the Pork Belly Baklava, the Lamb Skaras and the Fried Halloumi Nest. The Pork Belly Baklava has a lovely texture thanks to the stacked pork belly with pastry, standing on a layer of sauce that accompanied the Pork Belly well. The Lamb Skaras, on the other hand, is distinct from the Pork Belly with its homey flavours. The slow cooking really resulted in the melt-in-your-mouth texture, filled with the sweetness and freshness from the tomatoes in the sauce, which itself is generously seasoned with the aroma of the spices. The fried Halloumi Nest is one of the best appetisers from the restaurant. The soft and stretchy/ melting texture of Halloumi is retained from a delicate layer of caramelised crust, while it is served with cherry tomatoes, figs, and citrus fruit pieces (likely to be oranges, not stated in the menu). This provides a different type of sweetness that nicely accompanies the Halloumi and freshens my palate towards the end. The waiters and waitresses are also very welcoming as well, and I loved the decor upstairs. Overall, it’s a wonderful restaurant and a hidden gem.

We’ve been here twice, enjoyed the food, but highly suggest being seated downstairs in the tents, in the cold (there are heaters). The sound does not escape upstairs, with the many tables situated, too close for the waiters to squeeze past, it is an overwhelming eavesdropping atmosphere. The garlic pitas or plain, with tzatziki and lemon potatoes are the go to sides. The dolmades were okay to my mates, if they didn’t have chilli flakes all over the yoghurt, which wasn’t mentioned on the menu. The saganaki was burnt, so we didn’t order the second time around. The gemista and barramundi were the winning mains, and that’s what we’ll keep coming back for. The waiters have been friendly and hospitable, making sure we always had a drink.

We booked a table for 8pm, and we had to wait at least 5 minutes for someone to say « hello » to us. Definitely not the best customer service. Then we had to wait 20min for a table that we booked. After that, we had to wait 15min to get some water, we had to ask repeatedly for it. Once we ordered the food, we were excited to eat, but we had to wait 1h30 to get our food. I understand that they can be busy, but we went with others who have been multiple times before and said this was nothing new. You would certainly hope that by now some changes would have been made, given it is clear your service needs some work. Overall, the food is quit enjoyable and weren’t not for the service. I would be more likely to return.

Food was so delicious and unique! We loved the seafood parcels which were so tasty and had very generous portion size. Cocktails were beautifully presented but uunfortunately I couldn’t taste any alcohol in my cocktail at all. Also the food was extremely slow to come out (one dish came out and then we waited an hour for the next two dishes). Overall delicious food and beautiful decor, but probably wouldn’t return unless I had a lot of time!
