I visited the Mona Vale branch today with my partner around 1 pm, and unfortunately, the service was disappointing from the start. After being shown to a table, we sat down, but no menus were provided. The waitress then left and sat outside, leaving us unsure if we needed to order at the counter. Thankfully, another staff member eventually noticed us and brought menus. We ordered the avocado tartin, which was fine, but when we finished and ordered two tiramisu waffles, the experience went downhill again. The waitress served the waffles but didn’t bother clearing the avocado plate or a large wooden tea tray that was taking up space on our already small table. When I asked her to clean the table, she gave me attitude, took the avocado plate but left the tray. I had to ask her again as she was walking away, and even then, her manner was rude. To make things worse, we didn’t have any cutlery for our waffles since we had used it for the tartin. My partner asked for some, and I pointed out the empty cutlery bucket, but again, we were met with rudeness. The waitress brought over a cutlery bucket and sarcastically asked, “anything else?” All we wanted was a clean table and cutlery to enjoy our meal, but the poor attitude made the experience quite unpleasant. On a positive note, the other waitress with brown hair was kind and helpful, which we appreciated. Overall, we were disappointed by the rude service and won’t be rushing back.
Casual but very comfortable environment. Service was extremely welcoming and warm. My salmon was cooked to perfection. Highly recommend to visitors to Mona Vale if you wonder which to pick for a meal around!
What an amazing brunch! The smoked pork belly is definitely worth the hype. We also had the black porridge, dandy jing latte and tropical bliss. The porridge was the perfect amount of sweet, and super big in portions. It’s hard to find a nice brunch place that does creamy oats. The latte was also surprisingly warm and comforting on a cold and windy day. Tastes very herbal, and works well with the honey.
A bit hidden from the main street but a lovely hidden gem in Mona Vale. Good coffee and tea. Delicious and fresh menu choices, served in good portions. You can tell the food ingredients are fresh and sourced well. Will keep coming back to this place.
Beautifully presented food and so tasty. Octopus was so tender , crispy skin on salmon yum. Quality of ingredients shone through fresh and flavoursome. This place is heaven for a coeliac with multiple intolerances.Eating a meal and knowing I wasnt going to get gluttoned by mistake was lovely. Thank you
