Dog rules
Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times in public spaces. Dogs are not allowed within 10 metres of children's play areas or areas where food is prepared or eaten (except outdoor dining areas of cafes/restaurants that allow dogs). Dogs are prohibited from school grounds, childcare centres, rock platforms, wildlife protection areas, and any area with signage indicating dogs are prohibited. If you want to walk a mile in Wollongong’s shoes, this waterfront promenade is where it’s at. Stretching from North Beach to the Harbour, the Blue Mile is the perfect place for walking, cycling, swimming or jogging. This much-loved section of coastline has spectacular views, shared pathways and parks, plus plenty of places to eat or be entertained. From coffee to fine dining, it’s all available on the Blue Mile. The Blue Mile area has always been an area for social activity beginning with swimming in its natural ocean baths, before moving to the continental pool and north beach, known also for its surfing traditions. When you're visiting, keep an eye out for public art and local history signage to learn more about the fascinating past of this area.
Walked along here and enjoyed the historical plaques along the walkway, plus the views of the harbour were beautiful.
