Fernhill Street Reserve is a dog-friendly park in Hurlstone Park where dogs are welcome on lead. Outfield Cafe is around 400 metres away for an easy post-walk coffee.
Dogs are welcome on-leash at Fernhill Street Reserve, a Canterbury-Bankstown Council park. Under the NSW Companion Animals Act 1998, dogs must be kept on a lead and under the effective control of a competent person, and are prohibited within 10 metres of children's play equipment and food preparation areas. Off-leash exercise is permitted only in Council's designated off-leash areas.
The reserve probably has the highest objects-to-area proportion of any park anywhere (i.e. there isn't much grass outside of the things to do). A good park for very small children, but the lack of a fence means that parents will have to watch if their kids go towards the road.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
