This is one of my go-to coffee spots along Australia St in Newtown. It has lovely vibes and very welcoming staff, with both indoor and outdoor seating available. Last time I visited, I ordered the corn fritter — crispy and golden, stacked high with juicy corn, creamy smashed avo, and a perfectly silky poached egg. I paired it with an iced latte, and everything was spot on.
Staff were unwelcoming. The chicken salad I ordered was small for $21. The dressing was excessive and the was not much chicken but plenty of croutons. I also ordered a take away coffee which was good though it was 2/3 full. I should an add that pigeons and flies added to the atmosphere.
It's a comfortable place, the food is okay, the drinks are good, you can come and chill out in the morning, afternoon, and evening. I really like it.
me and my girlfriend often come here for the lovely atomsphere and great coffee :) the loyalty card is an added bonus that i love! this is the only cafe around newtown with tons of seating and lots of delicious food options! highly reccomend the pork katsu sandwich or bacon and egg roll thats extremely flavourful! perfect portions, lots of seating and wonderful staff :)
We had great experience here. The drink was great and the salmon salad was awesome. It’s our first time here and definitely coming back. One thing is the ice matcha that we ordered didn’t taste like a matcha. Apart from this overall is great !
