Lillian Fowler Reserve is a park in Newtown. Dogs are generally allowed on a lead in NSW public parks unless signs say otherwise — but the rules here aren't confirmed, so check local signage before visiting.
A lovely little park, Lillian Fowler Reserve is a picturesque location in the centre of Newtown. A well-maintained array of beautiful plants and vegetation, a pleasant snippet of nature in a busy urban environment. The play equipment is great, a unique variety of instalments. The park is a well-shaded, tranquil spot too rest and relax, I highly recommend visiting.
Most of Sydney's 'reserves' are simply a small patch of grass with a bench, but this one excels. It's a playground, shared basketball court (off school hours only), dog area and garden. Completely fenced. 🌳 Area is well shaded 💦 Bubbler by the playground 🍭 Simple but nice playground: swing, climbing structure, small slides 🏀 Court for public use during non-school hours, read sign for details 🚻 None
Nice Park, play area is well shaded by trees, with school basketball court next door. Section are under rejuvenate at time of this review
Great basketball court! Beautiful park as well. I would recommend a visit for those who grew up on Gadigal country.
One of the longest established parks in the area, with an interesting history. Surrounded by magnificent trees, the playground area is well equipped and maintained. Lots of landscaped features and amenities, making it a great choice for kids and adults. Public use of the attached basketball court and grounds is also permitted in arrangement with Newtown public school, outside of school hours.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
