Varna Park is a shady Clovelly park with a designated off-leash area at the eastern end. Dogs can play off-leash in that section and need to stay on-leash elsewhere, including around the playground. With covered picnic tables, benches and a bowling club next door, it is a comfortable leafy spot for a local visit.
Dog off-leash play permitted within the designated area (east end). Dogs must be on a leash outside of this area. Restricted areas: within 10 metres of children's playground (assistance animals permitted). (Source: Waverley Council — waverley.nsw.gov.au)
Massive park, great for kids of all ages with a quality playground, and dog friendly. Plus a quaint bowling club next door.
Small shady park with park benches & good playground for kids. Covered picnic tables for parties. Off-leash dog area is appreciated. Not much parking.
Great Park, weird half fence around playground making it not a gated playground. No toilets. The grass drains water fast.
Not so cool. Dogs don't keep to their designated area and may jump on you inadvertently.
Great suburban park. Plenty of room for the kids to run around in. A couple more rubbish bins toward the centre of the park would be ideal though.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
