Clarke Reserve is a small clifftop reserve in Vaucluse, known for its large flat rock and a ledge with ocean views. Dogs are welcome on-leash, kept clear of playgrounds and food areas, and it is a simple spot for a short walk with a view. It is more a place to pause than a park to roam. A quiet on-leash reserve on the cliffs.
Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times when in public unless in a sign-posted off-leash area. Dogs are prohibited within 10 metres of children's play areas, within 10 metres of food preparation/consumption areas (except outdoor dining), from school grounds and childcare centres. Dog owners must clean up after their dogs. Source: Woollahra Municipal Council – Walking Your Dog (woollahra.nsw.gov.au/Services/Animals-and-Pets/Walking-Your-Dog)
There's a rock, one flat rock, the size is indescribable. There's a central area where rain can gather, a ledge where people can dangle their feet, or just lie down in the sun. Closer to the ocean is a path with benches in the shade and views of the lighthouse on Bondi Junction. The breezes cool. There's also a field where many dig owners play with their pets. It's a beautiful, relaxing park.
Great spot to watch the Sydney to Hobart if the yachts are close to the shoreline Fantastic picnic area
Views are remarkable. Must see whale watching spot. Seals cavourting about. Wondergul
Great park and awesome views along with plenty of play equipment for the kids
Another great place in the eastern suburb for outdoor exercise, taking scenic photos and relaxing with the kids. There is also a walkway at the edge of the cliff looking out to the South Pacific ocean.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
