Nelson Bay Foreshore Reserve is a waterside dog-friendly park where dogs are welcome on lead. You'll find BBQs nearby. Some conditions apply, so it's worth checking before you visit.
Dog rules
Dogs are permitted on leash through most of Nelson Bay Foreshore Reserve, but part of the foreshore is a prohibited area where dogs are not allowed. The designated Nelson Bay off-leash area is separate from this reserve. Check Council’s dog exercise area map for the prohibited boundary.

Beautiful marina with multiple bbq areas and picnic benches. Great place for families to spend an afternoon under the trees in front of water. Cafe and shops are good.

Beautiful place to be at night. Packed during the day and is a massive and popular spot for people holidaying. Try and go outside of school holidays for a much more laid back experience of Nelson Bay.
