Impressive. This boutique cafe has just re-opened with new owners. First impressions - wow ! The cafe itself is warm, welcoming and clean. Tables are of generous size and spaced out, so you don’t feel like you’re sitting on top of everyone. There is an outdoor setting, with lights and high table and chairs in an alfresco setting. There is soft background music playing throughout the cafe. Menu offers a great variety and is all very reasonable priced. As a coffee snob, their coffee is 5/5 - better than anywhere else I’ve tried in the bay. We met with the owner, Sanjay who is extremely friendly and welcoming. Taking the time to show us his cafe and explaining his plans for the future. Olivia was our waitress. She was also friendly, polite and had a smile of her face the whole time. She gave us space to read through the menu before coming back and taking our orders. A must cafe to visit. We had breakfast and will definitely be back for dinner.

Food was delicious (the crab pasta had LITERAL CRAB CHUNKS IN IT!!)!!! Servings were generous, drinks were also fantastic!!! Loved everything we ordered (ultimate schnitzel, strawberry daiquiri, chilli crab linguine [was not too spicy, but definitely has a bit of punch-i don't usually tolerate heat too well, but this did NOT overwhelm!]) Staff were friendly, place was done up very well, making atmosphere great!! Thanks for a fantastic meal and experience!!

The crab spaghetti tastes good, with well seasoning, the fish is fresh and well-cooked, since my family member doesn't like potato mash, the waiters is friendly and helpful, helping us change to fried potatoes.

We had a wonderful experience at The Buoys Nelson Bay! The cutlets were absolutely delicious, and the crispy fried barramundi was cooked to perfection. I also tried the nonalcoholic passionfruit martini – incredibly refreshing and full of flavor. What really made the visit special was the lovely staff. They were warm, welcoming, and offered great recommendations from the menu. Big thanks to the whole team – we’ll definitely be coming back again!

Really happy with our meals and the staff were lovely. I had the lamb and it was cooked perfectly with a great charcoal flavour. No mocktails on the menu but staff happily made one that was fantastic.
